For Frank’s Haikai Challenge #172 (1/3/21): first sun (hatsuhi):
Light pours from the sky,
flooding the land, and rising
to come flowing through
the window, drowning my dreams
in a blaze of light and heat.

The light, the warmth, the break of day, magical for as long as you don’t think on the rest of the day. 🙂 Wonderful, Kate!
Thanks Stephen. 🙂 But yes… it’s now 35C (95F). 😦
It’s too hot here
for me today.
Let’s have a beer
and I will stay
indoors, but sad –
I wish I had
bought an aircon.
Central air is a wonderful thing. As is central heat. It was 35F (2.2C) here today. 🙂
