the maiden, the mother and…

In response to Eugi’s weekly prompt “transition”:

From the maiden to the mother,
that transition I recall
(a screaming monster and his brother).
But how and when did I become
(it must have been so gradual)
theโ€ฆ shall we sayโ€ฆ the ‘other one’?
